Steven Lee Kelley

January 31, 1952 - February 17, 2018

Steven Lee Kelley, 66, passed away on February 17, 2018 in his home, surrounded by his loved ones. He was the husband of Kharla Kelley. They shared 39 wonderful years of marriage together.

Born in San Francisco, he was the son of the late Eugene and Nadine Kelley. He attended Mills High School. Steve was recently employed at Britannia Cal-Pacific in South San Francisco, CA, but his lifetime passion was music and playing the drums.

Steve performed as a drummer with several Bay Area bands from 1970 to 2018, and for three years (1976-78) toured throughout the United States with "The Bottom Line." The free spirit with which Steve played the drums carried over in his life and his relationships with family and friends. Steve will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, friend, and entertainer.

He is survived by wife Kharla, sons Robert and Patrick and his future daughter-in-law, Samantha Bloom, his sisters, Pamela Schmidt and husband James and Patrice Warto and husband William Warto Jr. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive him.

Friends are invited to a visitation beginning at 5:00 pm Wednesday, February 21, with a vigil at 7:00 pm, at Crippen & Flynn Woodside Chapel, Redwood City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at 11:30 am, at St. Pius Catholic Church, Redwood City.
