Dwight Moser (Principal)

Dwight Moser was our Principal during our Senior Year.

Dwight Clinton Moser Resident of Belmont June 13, 1927 - Mar. 10, 2010 Dwight was born and raised in the Spokane, Washington area. He attended Eastern Washington College where he received a degree in Journalism, was a member of Alpha Phi Omega fraternity, and excelled in boxing and basketball. In 1952 he married Elsie Herman and began his career in education as a teacher. They later relocated to California to pursue his passion for education. After graduating from University of Southern California with a Master's Degree in Education, he began teaching in the Los Angeles area. There they had a daughter, Keri Kristen, and he focused his attention on teaching special needs students, among other subjects. In the early 1970's he relocated to Belmont, CA to become Principal of Mills High School in Burlingame, where he finished his career, retiring in 1988. After retiring he formed the California Association for Aerospace Education, worked as volunteer at the Oakland Aviation Museum, and helped develop NASA's space camp curriculum. Dwight enjoyed world traveling, classic cars, space and aviation, growing orchids and music. But more than anything, he enjoyed being with his grandsons Ethan Dwight (9) and Shane Patrick (5). Dwight is survived by his grandsons, daughter Keri Moser-Keller and her husband Thomas Richard Keller, his nieces and nephews in Washington, and his extended California family. He will truly be missed. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 1pm at Crippen & Flynn Carlmont Chapel, 1111 Alameda de las Pulgas, Belmont.
